Leaders for Geelong

More and more people are recognising the business and lifestyle benefits of living and working in the Geelong region. We need a new generation of business and community leaders with the skills, knowledge and networks to manage our growing region responsibly and sustainably into the future.

That's why the Committee for Geelong has instigated community leadership programs with the following vision and mission statements:

Vision: To deliver Australia's premier community leadership programs.

Mission: To provide the Geelong community with the next generation of leaders.

These programs represent an unrivalled opportunity for emerging leaders to learn from current business leaders and experts in their fields.

The Leaders for Geelong program attracts participants from diverse professions in local government, statutory authorities, medium and large businesses and the not for profit sector.  They are people who want to contribute to their community into the future.

Alumni from the Committee for Geelong leadership programs meet regularly to continue  to develop their leadership skills, network and take action on issues of interest.  A community Skills Bank has been established to broker the skills of these willing and talented alumni in the form of board positions and short term projects for the benefit of local organisations.

The Committee for Geelong is very proud of its leadership programs and regards them as an important catalyst to assure a strong future for the Geelong region.
