Geelong Racing Club

Updated: Jun 22

The Geelong Racing Club continues to look to be a progressive business in the hospitality and entertainment landscape within the Greater Geelong Region. Over the past 2 years the Club has been home to an amazing array of activity whether it be through fantastic racing, wedding expo, tiny homes expo, piccadilly markets, concerts, welcoming in community clubs for major events etc we continue to offer an agile facility and great service.

The Geelong Cup is synonymous and well entrenched in the social calendar of many as a must attend event and the Racing Club can now announce a metropolitan race day on January 6, 2024. Over 1,500,000 in prizemoney will be on offer, with a feature race and stakes race on the card.

Excitingly we have designated a community race where we have available an opportunity for all sporting, community, non for profit and charity groups to entre by purchasing a community bundle. This bundle gets 20 admission passes and enters you in the draw to secure a spot in the race. A draw will be conducted on the day to determine the finalists who will be allocated a horse and share in $40,000 in prizemoney pending where your horse places in the community race. This is an amazing fundraising opportunity that also guarantees a great day for your organisation or club to attend and participate in this great day.

We have a range of hospitality options available, choose from an umbrella, dining or marquee package, and celebrate summer at the races in style. Apart from the top tier level of racing to enjoy, there will be heaps of family and community based activities to indulge in as well! Bring the whole family along for some fun, with free carnival rides, live DJ and entertainment, pony rides, a local farmers market, Kelly sports activities, beach volley ball, novelty events and so much more!Wear your boardies, summer dresses and thongs, and don’t miss out on the summer fun in Geelong!

To book any of the above or learn more about the day please head to www.grc.com.au for all the information.

Aside from Racing the Club has ambitious plans to continue to revitalise the facility. A masterplan has been completed which will provide the framework for this vision which will commence in 2024 with a new stabling project earmarked. Once this project is completed, we ill begin refurbishment of our key dining and public facilities ensuring the club has a great offering to cater for all those who wish to attend the track for raceday, hold their wedding here, carry out an expo, conduct a market, welcome artists for concerts and so forth.

The Club is truly committed to the future.
