Resilient Geelong

The Committee for Geelong has tremendous optimism for our future and believes the Resilient Geelong research paper is the start of a conversation with the community. Creative Industries in the G21 Region
2021
The objective of the Creative Industry Strategy for the G21 region is to provide a framework for a more strategic and coordinated approach between the public, private and not for profit sectors for the development of the region’s creative industries. The Strategy aims to inform and guide government and industry priorities, investments and initiatives to achieve sector development, economic growth and employment and to contribute to the prosperity and liveability of the G21 region.
Plan for Victoria Submission

The Committee for Geelong is pleased to present our submission to the Victorian Government as part of the Plan for Victoria process. It reflects our unwavering commitment to shaping a prosperous, equitable, and sustainable future for our vibrant city of Geelong.
This submission draws upon the extensive history and strong engagement we have with both our member organisations and the broader Geelong community. It also builds on the insights gained from our 2023 Future Geelong project, which has captured our vision for the city’s future.

This document aims to encourage further discussion between all stakeholders, and guide future action to fully develop a Second City Policy Framework forGeelong. Whilst the CfG has examined
a range of initiatives that we considerto be central to the formation of a Second City Policy Framework, it is evident that further research is required.
